Collection: Original Art

I’m Ella, a colour-loving painter, always drawn to calm and balance. You’ll usually find me walking along white sandy beaches, wandering wild bush tracks, or quietly creating from my little studio in Byron Bay, NSW.

I’ve always been a painter, a maker and a wanderer. I’m endlessly curious about the forms and colours of the world around me, especially Australian native flowers and landscapes.

And even now, they still continue to shape and inspire my creative practice. Around 2005, when my work began to be selected for exhibitions and received awards, I made the leap to becoming a full-time artist.

My work is deeply influenced by biophilic art,  the idea of bringing the feeling of nature into our spaces through creativity. I’m drawn to organic shapes, natural materials, and sometimes even living elements like plants, allowing my paintings to feel connected to the natural world. Calming colours, botanical forms, and nature-inspired patterns gently invite a sense of wellbeing and ease.

Spending time in nature is an essential part of my creative rhythm. Through landscape painting, nature sketching and art journalling, usually from real life, I reconnect, slow down and find grounding in the simple, everyday moments. I paint what moves me and I hope it moves you too.

Original artworks are available, with shipping across Australia and internationally.

These small artworks are original, hand-painted and embrace the natural imperfections of the handcrafted process, an essential part of their unique charm and appeal.
